Charlie Halpin is the President and driving force behind SFX | Vehiclewrapz. Charlie is responsible for conducting market research, competitive intelligence, pricing, new product launch and marketing communications projects and construction of web presence utilizing, wikis, blogs, pod/web casts, FaceBook, YouTube, Blogger, SMS, Texting and creating web presence. Charlie brings 25 years of graphic experience to the table and got his feet wet in the late 80's servicing clients like Canada 3000 Airlines and Cantel ATT. As well he raced and finished 2 Baja 1000 offroad events in Mexico aboard a Kawasaki KX 500. In Grade 4 Charlie won the logo contest for his elementary school, St Bernard in Montreal. So it's in his blood. Nevertheless Charlie knows graphics and he's ready whip up another creative wrap for your vehicle today.

To honor the 40th Anniversary of the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000

Festivities for the celebration to include spectacular events in addition to 1,200-plus mile granddaddy of all desert races

TIJUANA, Mexico—Starting the launch of a nearly year-long anniversary celebration, plans for next year’s 40th Annual Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 desert race were unveiled today during a media conference at the Caliente Racetrack in Tijuana, Mexico. With major festivities planned in Tijuana and Ensenada along with a 1,200-plus mile race to the tip of the Baja California peninsula in Cabo San Lucas, the 2007 granddaddy of all desert races will be held Nov. 10-16.
In making the announcement, Sal Fish, SCORE CEO and President, praised the efforts of government and tourism officials in both states of Baja California and Baja California Sur, saying, “We would not be here today if it were not for the coordinated efforts and cooperation of both of these Mexican states and its counties. This anniversary celebration is a monumental undertaking and it will be the most memorable in the long and storied history of the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 in large part due to the dedicated efforts of the people of the Baja Peninsula.”
Starting with special festivities in the heart of Tijuana on Saturday, Nov. 10, and a unique parade of vehicles, and all of the colorful traditional pre-race pageantry will once again be held in Ensenada on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 11, and all day Monday, Nov. 12).
The green flag will drop in Ensenada on the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 13 and the last checkered flag will drop in Cabo San Lucas during the early morning of Friday, Nov. 16. In between Ensenada and Cabo San Lucas, the 1,200-plus mile course will traverse much of the ruggedly majestic Baja California peninsula.

WHAT: 39th Annual Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 desert race Final event of the six-race 2006 SCORE Desert Series

WHEN: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday, November 14-18, 2006

WHERE: Ensenada-Baja California, Mexico (65 miles south of U.S./Mexico Border) to La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico

WHO: Over 425 entries from 38 U.S. States, and 11 countries, competing in 27 Pro and 6 Sportsman classes for cars, trucks, motorcycles and ATVs

COURSE: TOTAL MILEAGE: 1,050.83 miles (10 checkpoints plus the finish line). Starts on Blvd. Costero, adjacent to the Riviera del Pacifico Cultural Center in Ensenada, finishing on the outskirts of La Paz adjacent to the tourism office. Starting on the Pacific Ocean side of the Baja California peninsula, the course immediately heads southeast through the Valle de Trinidad (rm 111.2) to San Felipe (rm 177.3) where it turns south along the azure Sea of Cortez.

Porsche Reveals Pictures and More of New Prototype

Porsche announced details of its new Prototype for ALMS competition. The car, designed for LMP2 competition, should shake the class up dramatically. Porsche, always known for reliability, will be entering a class where often the car with the least amount of problems wins the race. If Porsche is able to build a reliable prototype, it could revamp the face of the class.
